A Limited Edition bronze: Itsa-pich-kaupe (Sits-by-the-door), a favored Blackfoot maiden kidnapped by a rival tribe, aided in escape by an elder woman, ran for 4 days and 4 nights (a perfect length of time), finally falling--to surrender her spirit and travel the Wolf Road back to the Creator. A wolf appeared to rescue her, feeding her and leading her back to her people and safety. From that day forward the Blackfoot called the wolf friend, refusing to hunt or kill their new clan member. To this day, the wold is considered good medicine among many Native peoples, a protective companion in time of travel and need.
